SEMAC Automation has supplied, commissioned and maintained industrial measurement instrumentation since 1994. Calibration grew out of that work rather than being bolted on: the engineers verifying your meter are the ones who understand the application it sits in, which is why our reports discuss the installation and not only the instrument.

Field instrumentation background
Three decades of specifying, installing and commissioning process instrumentation. Most measurement errors are installation errors, and recognising one on site is the difference between a useful report and a certificate.
Application understanding
We start from the process, not the datasheet. Whether a reading can be trusted depends on the fluid, the profile, the immersion depth and the impulse lines as much as on the instrument itself.

That relationship gives us the manufacturer’s own verification and commissioning tooling — including the OPTICHECK Master handheld — and a route to device-level support when a finding needs escalating.
Traceable references
Our reference instruments carry their own accredited calibration certificates, and every report we issue names the reference used and its traceability chain.
Documentation that survives an audit
As-found and as-left values, deviation per test point, stated measurement uncertainty and a recommended interval — the things an auditor actually asks for.
Two hubs, national coverage
Thessaloniki and Athens, so most of the industrial map of Greece is a same-day or planned visit rather than a special expedition.
Honest scope
Where in-situ verification is not technically valid, or a measurement is outside what we can defensibly certify, we say so before quoting. A number nobody should trust is worse than no number.

A calibration is only as good as what it is compared against. We maintain and periodically re-certify the reference equipment behind each service line.

Accreditation and traceability
- Our calibration procedures are built to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, and our ESYD accreditation application is in progress. Until it is granted, we do not describe our calibrations as accredited or ESYD-certified — on any page or in any certificate.
- Reference instruments are calibrated by accredited laboratories, and those certificates are the basis of every result we issue.
- Each report names the reference instrument used and states the measurement uncertainty of the comparison.
- Reference equipment is re-certified on a defined schedule, so the traceability chain behind your certificate stays unbroken.
