Is your instrumentation performing as it should?

Inaccurate or poorly maintained measurement can lead to production losses, quality issues, unnecessary downtime, increased costs and compliance risks. Regular verification & calibration confirms instrument health and supports confident maintenance decisions — for industrial plants in Athens, Thessaloniki and across Greece.

Reduced measurement uncertainty

Ensure data integrity across critical process points.

Early detection of issues

Identify drift or coating before faults occur.

Less process downtime

Perform checks while the process is running.

Better maintenance planning

Move from reactive to predictive maintenance.

THE COMPARISON METHOD

How in-situ flow meter calibration works

The most practical way to prove a flow meter in a working plant is to put a calibrated reference next to it and compare the two under the same conditions. This page explains that method step by step — what the master meter is, what the meter under test is, what gets recorded, and why the result is worth having.

See how it works

Isometric diagram of a calibration setup. Fluid flows from left to right through a pipe. It passes first through the master meter, the traceable reference instrument, then along a straight run of ten pipe diameters into the meter under test, and leaves through a further straight run of five pipe diameters. Both straight runs belong to the meter under test and are provided where its type requires them. A data acquisition unit below reads both meters at the same time and calculates the percentage deviation between them.

Serving industrial plants across Greece

SEMAC Automation operates from two service hubs — Thessaloniki and Athens (Attica) — giving us fast, on-site reach across Central Macedonia, Attica and the rest of Greece. Wherever your plant is located, our field engineers can reach you for verification & calibration with minimal disruption to your process.

Beyond calibration

We also work on the instrument itself

Choosing it, putting it into service, repairing it and answering the phone when something is not right — the work around a measurement point that is not a certificate.

Your trusted partner for verification & calibration

SEMAC Automation combines deep instrumentation expertise with practical field experience. Our calibration procedures are built to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, and our ESYD accreditation is in progress. From flow to pressure and temperature, we support plants with solutions designed for performance and safety.
